Frequently asked questions
How many letters are in the cursive alphabet?
The same 26 letters as print, each with a capital and a lowercase form — 52 shapes in total. Many capitals look quite different from their print versions, especially G, Q, S and Z.
Is cursive still taught in schools?
Yes. More than 20 US states require cursive instruction, usually starting in 2nd or 3rd grade.
Can I print the chart in color or bigger?
The chart prints on US Letter paper. For a bigger poster, print it at a copy shop and enlarge it — the letters are vector graphics, so they stay sharp.
